Highest Quality Plating
E.C. Williams was set up almost one hundred years ago to supply bright silver plating to the manufacturers of tableware, in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. Today we use our silver plating expertise not for decorative purposes, but to supply electrical electroplating to manufacturers of electrical and electronic components.
Meeting the Requirements of the Electrical Industry
We have invested in the latest computer controlled plant, to jig silver plate components to controlled deposit thickness. Ensuring that we meet the requirements of the electrical industry. This enable us to meet the needs of both high voltage components, such as those used on the National Grid. As well as, low voltage parts used in IT equipment and motor vehicles.
In addition to our automated jig line, we have barrel plating facilities for silver plating small components.
Fully Equipped Laboratory
Our fully equipped laboratory ensures our plating solutions are maintained at their optimum concentrations. Additionally, we have X Ray facilities to accurately measure the deposit thickness of silver, ensuring it meets specification.
To meet the requirements of some customers, we also offer silver plating with an undercoat of nickel, copper or tin. We can process most substrates including steel, copper, beryllium, brass and phosphor bronze.
We Have a Range of High Quality Materials
However, we are by no means limited to silver. As well as silver plating, we offer copper, tin (bright and matt), nickel plating as well as zinc nickel plating. Our range of high quality materials, which we use for plating, gives us the ability to supply both high levels of conductivity. As well as, solderability and good physical contact properties. Furthermore, you can rest assured with E.C. Williams products, as naturally for the electrical market, all our finishes are ROHS and WEEE compliant.
